In need of a larger, more accommodating space, KPC, a packaging, fulfillment, and assembling facility serving the Midwest region, elected to move its business, with the help of First Companies, to a newly refurbished space in Walker.
“In our old space our team was operating under three different roofs,” said Jack Skoog, president of KPC. “This building, with its renovation, allowed us to pull our whole organization under one roof.”
First Companies was responsible for the office layout and build-out, as well as the office’s interior design. The company was required to work quickly, as KPC would need to transition from its old location to its new location without ceasing services. One of the unique features of the new building is a large clear-span bay, which allows KPC to maximize its work space.
“First Companies worked with us to retrofit this entire space, to design it, and to make it exactly what we needed it to be,” said Skoog. “Their team exceeded our expectations by far, and I would recommend their work to anyone looking to retrofit a building in an efficient and timely manner.”
